Bethania chapel was first built in 1832, and has seen numerous rebuilds and enlargements. The current chapel, from 1908, is by Sir William Beddoe Rees in the classical 'beaux arts' style. It was built following the 1904 Welsh Revival, the largest Christian revival in Wales in the twentieth century. The chapel is said to seat up to 1001 people. The facade has three bays, and a huge 80-pane window flanked by columns.

Adeiladwyd capel Bethania gyntaf yn 1832, ac mae wedi cael ei ailadeiladu a'i ehangu sawl gwaith. Adeiladwyd y capel presennol, o 1908, gan Syr William Beddoe Rees yn arddull clasurol y celfyddydau cain. Fe'i hadeiladwyd yn dilyn Diwygiad Cymru yn 1904, y diwygiad Cristnogol mwyaf yng Nghymru yn yr ugeinfed ganrif. Dywedir bod y capel yn gallu eistedd hyd at 1001 o bobl. Mae gan y ffasâd dair cilfach, a ffenestr enfawr ag 80 cwarel gyda cholofnau o bob tu iddi.
